The auction and raffle ticket sales provide the capital needed to bring in speakers, rent the
meeting hall, buy equipment, etc. You must be a current member of COAST to sell items at the
auction; guests may buy items.
NOTE WELL: Buyer Beware! AUCTION ITEMS ARE SOLD "AS IS",
and COAST does not guarantee items sold at auction as to health, accuracy, working condition,
suitability, etc. Auction sales are transactions between buyer and seller, not between COAST
and buyer or seller.
PAYMENT POLICIES: The member and club split the sales price
of the items 80%/20%. GUESTS MUST PAY IN CASH for their
purchases; only members may pay by check. Payment is made to the auction clerk; please wait
till the end of the auction to check out if possible.
BAGGING FISH: Use proper fish bags. Double bag the fish. Bag adult males separately from females
and separate territorial or aggressive fish from each other to prevent injury or death.
Individual bags can be taped together to be sold as pairs or groups. Do not feed fish the
night before. Bag fish in clean water, with a ratio of 1/3 water to 2/3 air. When using breather bags, follow
manufacturer's instruction for bagging fish instead of above instructions. Please bag fish at home whenever possible.
NOTICE: FISH IN LEAKING BAGS OR FISH ATTACKING EACH OTHER
WILL BE REBAGGED BY THE CLUB, AND $1.00 PER
INSTANCE WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE MEMBER'S AUCTION EARNINGS AT CHECKOUT.
Reasonable effort will be made to notify member of leaking bags/combative fish before the
club rebags the fish.
PLANTS: Plants may be single bagged and do not need to be submersed in water. Label as for fish.
LABELLING: Bag labels are available on this website; you are welcome to use your own labels
as well; please be sure they have all the required information. Use waterproof ink. Label the bags with bag no.
(comprised of member number and number of the bag you brought, e.g., 97-1, 97-2, 97-3); quantity of
male fish, qty of female fish, or qty of a mixture of fish whose genders are unknown; genus/species;
